Located along Highway 2 on the west edge of Red Deer, the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame and Museum is an interactive, hands-on celebration of Alberta's sporting history. The over 7,000 square feet of exhibit space includes a multisport interactive virtual system with hockey, baseball, soccer, basketball and football, a baseball pitching field, a 200 meter wheelchair challenge; a press box where you become the sportscaster; a 40 seat theatre and the Honoured Members Gallery. The Alberta Sports Hall of Fame and Museum also has over 7,000 artifacts of Alberta Sports history in its collection, showcasing many of these items in a number of displays. The Alberta Sports Hall of Fame and Museum also offers an education program, Group activities, party/reception facility rental, and meeting room rental may be booked for public use.

The Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery tells the story of the diverse peoples of the Red Deer River Valley, from the early First nations culture to the birth of a modern city. Sunnybrook Farm Museum was developed to preserve and interpret the rich history of mixed farming in central Alberta. The farm was originally settled in 1899 by Mr. James Bower and family from Ontario, Canada. The original family farm was donated in 1987 to the Red Deer and District Museum Society, by Mr. and Mrs. Norman Bower. This generous act enabled the society to realize the dream of preserving a bit of the past to ensure that future generations would know the heritage of Alberta and the pioneers that ploughed the way to our future. The Friends of Sunnybrook Farm Society was formed to ensure the continued development and preservation of the farm.
